Refer to this guide if you're experiencing the following issues:
- No signal bars
- Phone searching for a signal
- Signal status shows "No connection"
Before proceeding with any troubleshooting, kindly note that certain countries imply restrictions on eSIM usage:
- UAE (may require eKYC verification before eSIM can be used)
- Russia (24-hour lock on data roaming capabilities after initial eSIM usage before data can be consumed)
- Myanmar (total ban and restriction on all roaming capabilities)
- Turkey (eSIM can only be used within the first 120 days of registration and use in the destination)
- Egypt (eSIM can only be used within the first 90 days of registration and use in the destination)
- Australia (device-based limitation on roaming devices used in the destination; only allowed devices can be used)
If you’re in one of these countries, make sure that you’ve met the requirements needed to use the eSIM. If you’ve met the requirements or are not in one of the countries above, please try these troubleshooting steps:
- Ensure that you’re using the holiday.com eSIM as your Primary/Preferred Data Line.
- Ensure your eSIM has its mobile data and Data Roaming turned ON.
- Ensure you’re within the eSIM service area, especially for regional plans. For example, if you purchased a North America regional plan, make sure you’re within the area of coverage.
- Toggle on Airplane Mode, wait for 10-15 seconds, then toggle it off. This will force your device to search and reconnect to the appropriate network.
